Each participating boat will be equipped with a GPS/GPRS unit which weighs less than 100 gram. The position of the boat is then determined by the use of GPS satellite signals captured by the unit. The units mobile phone facility continuously transmits the position back to TracTrac’s server, and the position, movement and speed of the boat will be shown on the Live Viewer..
